New Guidance on Exposure (8/28/20)

The following updated guidance was received from Two Rivers Health Department on Monday, September 1st.

Directed Health Measures extending Phase 3 for the Two Rivers Public Health District were placed into effect today.  These measures are effective from today September 1st, 2020 through September 13th,  2020.  Very few changes were noted to these measures from previous Phase 3 Directed Health Measures.  However, you might note this passage of the quarantine instructions:

work each day and retain documentation for local health departments.

Quarantine, please refer to Isolation instructions.”

Mask Requirement Update                                                                        August 19, 2020

The note I sent home on Monday stated that things will continually change during this time and the change I referred to in that note will take effect on Monday, August 24th.  All students will be required to wear a mask unless the student has an underlying health condition and provides a doctor’s note regarding the wearing of a mask.  All students without a doctor’s note regarding the wearing of a mask will be required to wear a mask while in school.  The parent opt-out form is no longer valid with this change.  If you wish to not comply with any changes to the mask requirement, parents will need to apply for Homeschool (Exempt School) status on the Nebraska Department of Education website (https://www.education.ne.gov/fos/exempt-schools/).  Due to the number of request they are about 6 weeks behind on processing these applications.  Once this application is filed your child is not required to attend school but I would encourage you to begin their homeschool coursework to maintain their academic success.  Thank you for your support of your children and our school during this very turbulent time in our society.  If you have any questions, please contact either Mr. Fleischman or Mr. Aten at school (308-987-2424).

Mask Requirement Update                                                                        August 17, 2020

The first three days of school last week were amazing and it was great to have the students back in the building.  During this Pandemic the one constant is that things will change and the school must adapt to these changes to keep our students in the building.  While our initial plan was to allow parents to opt their child(ren) out of our mask requirement, this may change as the pandemic situation changes in our community.  Changes to our mask requirement will be communicated to all parents.  If/when this change occurs (which could be at any time); all students will be required to wear a mask unless the student has an underlying health condition and provides a doctor’s note regarding the wearing of a mask. Students would need to be in attendance at school until the application is processed and approved.  Thank you for your support of your children and our school during this very turbulent time in our society.  If you have any questions, please contact either Mr. Fleischman or Mr. Aten at school (308-987-2424).
