FKC Track Meet/Elm Creek Track Meet

After being delayed because of weather, the boys and girls track teams competed on Tuesday, May 3rd in the FKC Track meet.  Mackenzie Beavers won two gold medals for the shot put and the discus.  The girls 4 x 800 relay placed 2nd.  Mallory Olmstead was a double medal winner placing 5th in the shot put and discus.  Peyton Zimmerman was also a double medal winner placing 5th in both the 1600 and 3200 runs.  Taylor Kizer finished in 6th place in the triple jump Jayden Eby placed 6th in the 800, and the girls 4 x 400 relay finished in 6th.

The boys team had a runner-up finish in the triple jump by Keith Murphy.  Keith also finished 3rd in the 300 hurdles and 4th in 110 High hurdles.  Braden Kizer was a double medal winner placing 5th in the triple jump and 6th in the 110 high hurdles.  Two boys placed in the shot put with Schuyler Brown finishing in 5th place and Bricen Margritz in 6th.  The boys 4 x 400 relay also took home 6th place.

On a near perfect day for a track meet, the teams competed on Thursday, May 5 in the Elm Creek track meet.  Despite having only 1 day between meets, they had several outstanding performances.  The girls 4 x 800 relay team of Taylor Kizer, Jaycee Wallace, Amaris Crandall, and Jayden Eby won the gold medal with a new school record time by over 7 seconds!  Mackenzie Beavers was the only gold medalist winning the discus.  Jaycee Wallace placed 2nd in the 400 and Peyton Zimmerman placed 2nd in the 3200.  Keith Murphy was a double medalist in placing 4th in the 300 hurdles and 5th in the 110 high hurdles.  Two girls placed in the triple jump with Amaris Crandall finishing in 4th place and Taylor Kizer in 5th.  Jayden Eby placed 6th in the 1600.  The girls ended up the day by finishing 5th in the 4 x 400 relay and 6th in the 4 x 100 relay.  The boys concluded the meet taking 5th place in the 4 x 400 relay

Wednesday, May 11th is our district meet which will be held in Broken Bow.
