Overton Public Schools expects students to complete community service hours as part of their social studies education.
Every student in my class is required to complete community service hours during the school year. Hours can be accumulated throughout the summer prior to their year of school. So hours completed prior to a student's senior year would count for their senior requirement. Hours are due on or before May 1st of each year. Hour submissions are accepted online by email or on paper. Paper forms are available in my classroom.
Seniors - 20 hours
Juniors - 15 hours
Sophomores - 10 hours
Freshmen - 5 hours
NHS - +5 hours
