Cross Country - Gibbon Meet
Cross Country had their first meet on Thursday at the Gibbon Golf Course. This course proved to be demanding with hills and valleys, as well as 95 degree weather. The ECO team was successful in both the boys and girls runs. In the boys competetion there were 95 running and we had the following results; Riley Nichols from Elm Creek received an 11th place metal, Morgan Wallace of Overton placed 34th, Jaydn Ford of Elm Creek was 43rd, Wyatt Hubbard of Elm Creek was 60th, and Wyatt Kennicutt of Overton was 86th. The boys also placed 7th overall out of 17 teams. On the girls side there were 63 runners and we had Nicole Weimers of Elm Creek get 28th, Peyton Zimmerman of Overton get 30th, Amaris Crandall of Overton get 53rd, Audrey Worthing of Elm Creek was 54th, and Shyanne Potter of Overton was 63rd. Beings it was the first meet we were trying to see where our competitors would sit compared to other schools. From what we saw, we think that many of our runners could be quite successful in our future meets if they keep working hard and improving.
