The Foods & Nutrition class has been learning about the basics of baking the past few weeks.  They learned about the effects basic ingredients like flour, sugar, eggs, leavening agents, and fat have on different types of baked products including pies, quick breads and yeast breads. Students recently made cinnamon rolls from scratch.  They had to make the dough, knead it and let it rise.  They discovered how yeast works and how gluten is developed. These yummy cinnamon rolls were the result!
