Preschool News

Thank you so much to those of you who were able to schedule a home visit.  We enjoyed meeting your child and getting to see where he/she lives!  Thank you also to those of you that came to our Preschool open house last week. Your positive involvement in your child’s life makes a huge impact on his/her educational experience! We hope you and your child are excited for the many new opportunities Preschool will bring!

Please remember to return the following forms to school ASAP:  handbook receipt, photo release form, field trip form, free/reduced lunch applications, departure data sheet.

This month we will be learning “All About Me,” nursery rhymes, pre-writing/tracing skills, colors, shapes, and cutting skills.  Ask your child if he/she can sing the nursery rhymes to you!

READ, READ, READ to your child every day!  There are great children’s books available for check-out at the Overton Public Library.  We encourage you to visit it each week!

A Few Reminders:

* No one is allowed in the building until 8:00 am when the bell rings unless special circumstances arise.  Students are to wait outside or with siblings, NOT in the hallways.

*Students are allowed to bring a favorite stuffed animal and blanket to school for rest time. They can be kept in their cubbies and taken home frequently to wash. This seems to make rest time go much smoother! :)

*Please remember to check your child’s backpack and remove the papers from their folders daily!

*NO SCHOOL—Monday, September 7th – Labor Day

 Thank You!!
